SS United States Documentary Film - The Big U

The Big U is more than a documentary film.  The project involves all these related components: 
Broadcast Film

A 60 minute high-definition broadcast film presented to both regional and national Public Broadcasting audiences. 
Web site

A fully functioning web site that continues to grow and support the film and its related components.  This will be a place where enthusiasts can learn more about our film efforts, where prospective sponsors can see the bredth and depth of our project, where teachers can download instructional guides, and where fans can purchase DVDs of the film. 

For sale in a variety of venues including this web site, The Big U DVD includes an extended version of the original film, additional interviews and transcripts, photographs, production related information including interviews with the filmmakers, production stills, press materials, trailers, cast and scholar information. 
On-Demand Sales

Distributed through online venues, The Big U will be available for on-demand rental and download. 
Education Curriculum

The Big U supports current Standards of Learning educational curricula, with program components available to support classroom learning through online resources that include teacher guides, downloadable video clips, and keyword searchable content.
